CERTIMEX is only responsible for the authorization of using the seal in organic and ecological products that are certified by CERTIMEX. The seal- logo and name is a registered mark which can be only used by the suppliers who have an up top date certification for the corresponding product type.

The general procedures to obtain the CERTIMEX seal are indicated below: if more information, special consultancy or specific indications of the logo than please contact us.

• The seal of CERTIMEX can only be used for the products that are certified as organic, this means that authorization will not be given for its use for products in conversion or in transition.
• Suppliers that want to use the CERTIMEX reference on the packages of their products, must send a written application to the office of CERTIMEX, using the application format and indicating clearly the type of product they want to label, the volume of the product and the production cycle to which the product correspond.
• The use of the seal does not have any additional costs for the supplier.
• The seal must be printed respecting the original design of the logo, the name of CERTIMEX, the printing and the colors; the size can vary according to the label that is used but they always need to take into consideration that the reduction or /and amplification must be proportional and cannot disfigure the seal.
• The CERTIMEX seal should be preferably in a visible place on the front or side packaging, followed by the text" certified by” or "CERTIFIED BY".
• The suppliers who have at one moment their certification of CERTIMEX withdrawn are obliged to suspend all the references to the CERTIMEX seal until they receive again a certification.
• Changes about modifications in the production process, processing or packaging must be reported to CERTIMEX if one of the products that has the authorization to use the CERTIMEX seal undergoes those changes. CERTIMEX must verify the changes before it gives the authorization to use the seal for these products.
