CERTIMEX is only responsible for the authorization for use of the seal on organic or ecological products certified by CERTIMEX. The seal - logo and name - is a registered trademark that can be used only by producers who have valid certification for the corresponding product.

The general procedures to obtain the use of the CERTIMEX seal are indicated below. Contact us if you need more information, special advice or specific instructions about the use of the seal.

• The seal of CERTIMEX can only be used for products that are certified as organic; this means that authorization will not be given for products in conversion or in transition to full organic status.
  
• Producers who want to use the CERTIMEX reference on the packaging of their products, must send a written application to the office of CERTIMEX, using the application format, indicating clearly the type of product they want to label, the volume of the product and the production cycle to which the product corresponds.
  
• Use of the seal does not imply an additional cost for the producer.
  
• The printed seal must conform to the original design of the logo, the name of CERTIMEX, the colors and the printing; the size can vary according to the labels that are used but any reduction and/or amplification must to be proportional and cannot distort or disfigure the seal.
  
• The CERTIMEX seal needs to be on a visible place on the front or lateral part of the packaging with the following text “Certified by” or “CERTIFIED BY”
  
• Any supplier who has had their certification of CERTIMEX withdrawn is obliged to suspend all the references to the CERTIMEX seal on their products until they receive a certification again.
  
• Changes in modifications in the production process, processing or packaging must be reported to CERTIMEX if any of the products that has the authorization to use the CERTIMEX seal undergoes those changes. CERTIMEX must verify the changes before authorization is given to use the seal for these products.
